Does anybody know a good website with classic bathroom designs??
I am a teenager and am finally getting my own bathroom. They begin building this Saturday and I need a picture of what I want!! does anyone know a good website with just classic (not modern or ancient) designs? (meaning a picture of the bathroom)
Google; Images; Bathrooms; classic; I found some last night that I wanted for Victorian bathrooms.
"To be" vs. other linking verbs: they are not exactly the same. English has only one "be" verb. The test for whether a verb is a linking verb is to substitute a form of "be." "You look tired." "You are tired." Many verbs can be linking verbs or action verbs, as "look" is here: "We looked at a new car." "Be" is always just "be;" it doesn't work like that. "Be" can be a main verb, as other linking verbs can, but "be ' is always part of a passive verb phrase, while no other verb can serve this purpose. We also use "be" in the present progressive, past progressive, present perfect progressive, past perfect progressive, and future perfect progressive. Threse tenses must have "be." No other verb will suffice. "Be" is quite a singular verb in English.
"Ancient" and "modern": these describe age; they tell how old the objects are. I admit I cannot get over describing an object as both "ancient" and "modern."
Past vs. present perfect: One use of the present perfect is to express an action that began in the past and continues to the present. But, as we see in your example, it's often used to express an action that was completed in the recent past, and "recent" is in the mind of the speaker. The speaker may choose the present perfect when he/she is aware the action is unknown to the listener.
It is also used to express actions that happened sometime–an unspecified time–in the past: I was in Paris last year. I have been in Paris.
One of the most important reasons we use the present perfect is to express an action that happened in the past but has some kind of bearing on the present, some influence, again, in the speaker's opinion.
Regular/irregular verbs: This concept is rather new to English because it's a recent development (historically speaking) that we expect verbs in the simple past and their past participles to end in -ed. We call verbs that don't end in -ed "irregular." The irregular verbs are often different in all their forms: withdraw/withdrew/withdrawn. The verbs you ask about–prove, read, and dive–are all irregular in that their pronunciation and spelling deviate from the -ed regularity. "Dived" has only very recently become acceptable as the past tense of "dive." Many peoiple still say "dove" and consider "dove" correct. With "prove," "proved" is acceptable as the past tense, but not the past participle used as an adjective: "a proven fact," not " a proved fact." "He has proved it" seems okay though. Language always changes, and we are witnessing some of the changes.
"In an interrogative statement, the predicate or part of the predicate usually comes before the subject."
This only refers to the inverted word order of questions. In statements, the word order is Subject-Verb-Object. But in questions, the order is reversed: He is at work. Where is he?
OK, I'm done for now. I advise you to ask fewer questions at one time in the future. Actually, you may get more answers if you keep your questions to one at a time. I may come back and answer the rest of yours if I have time later.
As I move from the bedroom into the bathroom, the bathroom lighting emits a soothing light to improve my laid- back Saturday morning experience. I take a leak; what a relief. However, me taking a leak unchained an invisible process taking place right i…
I'll try, but I might get tired!
