Antique American Art Deco octagonal shaped milk glass compot
I painted something on Glass using Deco Marker, oil based version. Can it go into the elements?
I painted something on glass using Deco Markers, oil paint version. It is on an old window that is going on an old barn. It will be outside, exposed to all the elements. (Rain and Snow since I am in New England area)
Will I have to seal it? And if so, what kind of sealer do I use?
I went to their website and found nothing. I emailed them and have gotten no response.
It should say on the markers whether or not they are pernament. Usually oil based markers are pernament and don't need a sealer. However, if you are unsure, you might try clear acrylic sealer ( a craft store or wal-mart has it) . Clear polyutherine varnish will seal anything and make it pernament. It can be purchased at a hardware store.
Jill is wonderful an defenately fun to do, love it what a fun way to recycle, beautiful would be neat if wecould get together with other artist to do that and sign it and go ahaid sale tickets for it I don't thrown away anything, love the result ,that is so fun.

I wish we could have a way to have a test we could run,we know the glasses coe's not cristal that out but the rest I am very good on dropping things but also the miss ap too,notice with the expensive deco glass they are very hard to breack and you lose a lot so I guess more careful on the firing
